DRAG RACING

Street Class is for cars that are road registered and run on a radial tyre.

Race Class is for cars that are unregistered and/or run on a slick tyre.

Drag Racing at Nissan Powered Nationals and GT-R Invitational is split into Street and Race as well as multiple classes. The winner and runner-up in each class is calculated from the quickest ET during any drag racing on Saturday and Sunday, excluding the Shootout (untimed).

Each class will be allocated a lane in the staging area and racing will be run in order of lanes. You can simply line up at any time during drag racing and wait for your lane to run, except for the GT-R Invitational, which is time sensitive, and will run at set times as per the schedule. All other lanes will stop 5 minutes before these sessions.

STREETCAR SHOOTOUT  (SUNDAY)

The streetcar shootout is a knock out elimination competition. There is two categories, Two-Wheel-Drive and All-Wheel-Drive. There will be a winner for each category, and they will then go head-to-head to determine the grand champion.

  • Cars line up in the appropriate staging lane based on drivetrain. Will be signage.
  • Cars will be lined up to race at random. You may not race the person you line up next to and will be randomly selected.
  • Racing procedure is as per normal and run on a sportsman tree.
  • The winner will receive a ticket that is to be handed to event staff when lining up for next round.
  • Cars MUST return to line up immediately and can NOT return to their pit for any reason.
  • A car can NOT have more than one bye run.
  • In the quarter and semi finals, the bye will be given to the quickest car.
  • Any logging, tyre pressure checks or quick repairs MUST be done in the staging lanes.
  • If your car is not ready for the next round of racing you will be disqualified.
  • Cars can NOT refuel during the shootout. The car must have enough fuel to last all rounds.
  • A 5-minute cool down and repair time will be given if required between semi finals and finals.

ROLL RACING

Roll Racing is for registered cars on a radial tyre only (Street Class).

Line up in staging lanes in either the 2WD or 4WD lanes ( as marked). Follow instructions from the event staff to move into staging area. When released the left lane dictates the pace between 40-80km/h. Once onto the concrete, the starter will press green light to go as long as cars are together. After the finish line, slow down for the return road and return to the staging lanes to race again.

ROLL RACING SHOOTOUT  

The roll racing shootout is a knockout elimination competition. There is two categories, Two-Wheel-Drive and All-Wheel-Drive. There will be a winner for each category, and they will then go head-to-head to determine the grand champion.

  • Cars line up in the appropriate staging lane based on drivetrain. Will be signage.
  • Cars will be lined up to race at random. You may not race the person you line up next to and will be randomly selected.
  • Left lane dictates the pace of 40-60km/h
  • The starter will NOT activate the green light until cars are side by side in the start zone.
  • No green light means no race.
  • It is at the discretion of the starter if a competitor is disqualified for “jumping”.
  • The winner will receive a ticket that is to be handed to event staff when lining up for next round.
  • Cars MUST return to line up immediately and can NOT return to their pit for any reason.
  • A car can NOT have more than one bye run.
  • In the quarter and semi-finals, the bye will be given to the quickest car.
  • Any logging, tyre pressure checks or quick repairs MUST be done in the staging lanes.

SHOW & SHINE

The Show and Shine is a chance for people to show off their Nissan or Nissan-powered ride at the event. You can use the show and shine as simply premium parking for your Nissan, as it only cost $25 over what spectator tickets do, or you can try and get into the Premium Show and Shine area on the concrete next to trader’s alley and try and take home a trophy.

MIDNIGHT CLUB 0-300KM/H CHALLENGE

What is MidNight Club Australia? We want to see who has the quickest street car from 0 to 300km/h. How do you get invited? Who will be entering? Well, if you know, you know.
